Azerbaijan has launched a special visa programme to make travel easier for visitors attending the 2025 Formula 1 Grand Prix in Baku. Normally, travellers must apply for an electronic visa (E-Visa) before entering the country. But between 25 August and 30 September 2025, anyone visiting for the Grand Prix will be able to obtain a visa directly on arrival at Azerbaijan’s international airports.
The simplified system covers fans, accredited media, and race staff. To qualify, travellers must present one of the following at the airport:
With these documents, visitors won’t need to apply online in advance or visit an embassy. The visa will be issued on the spot, making access to Baku faster and more convenient.
